A&T Healthcare provides a full array of prenatal care and postpartum visits. These visits include assessment(s), education and support that can help the pregnant mother and family become confident in their new role(s).
An experienced registered nurse makes home visits to teach the parent(s) about the birth process, their changing roles, recognition of infant well-being, general are required for a newborn and the expanding family.
"High Risk" pregnancy cases are seen by nurses that specialize in care of problems such as high blood pressure, diabetic and preterm labor.
When the newborn requires special care and testing, the experienced nurse will attend these needs as ordered by the physician. Example: PKU's,bilirubin, and Wallaby Blankets
