Asthma Home Care Program

Serving Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Putnam

Dutchess, Ulster, NYC, NJ

A & T Healthcare Home Asthma Programassists the patient in the management of their asthma at home. This program educates the patient in the care, control, and monitoring of his/her asthma to prevent complications from arising and to decrease the need for ER visits for hospitalization. The parents will have less days absent from their jobs.

A & T Healthcare Home Asthma Program includes teaching the patient to manage the following:

• Recognize the symptoms of asthma
  
  
  

• Know when to initiate treatment of symptoms 
  
  
  

• Follow medication regime  
  
  
  

• Exercise 
  
  
  

• Know when to call the physician
  

• Recognize triggers causing attacks and how to avoid them
  
  

• Monitor peak flow reading(s)
  
  
  

• Proper use of inhaler & Nebulizer
  
  
  

• Adequate Nutrition
